how am i going to be an optimist about this?
[Almost as soon as the trial lets out, Tarrlok kind of... tears off to the kitchen, because he's mildly concerned that he's going to experience an adrenaline crash before he even starts cooking, and so he begins! He starts on some tea, marinating some beef for kebabs... but he feels like he's forgetting something...

[okay whew he makes it back to the kitchen. And so does Yuri at some point, actually! So... Tarrlok will be getting kebabs ready for everyone, since he was hungry for them, Yuri confirmed, and Cabanela said he'd have whatever he'd have. Speaking of, Cabanela shows up to make some chicken soup! And Yuri makes curry, teriyaki chicken, and steamed vegetables. So there's a little something for everyone. The food that gets put out isn't super fancy, but it's nice, and there's tea just like Elda wanted.

I suppose I am more curious to know what his plans are now that the four people he was after are now dead.

... Though he gives this a thought, remembering a discussion about this. ]
I mean to him apparently getting those four was just a bonus, and it wasn't the entire reason why he set up this whole thing in the first place. My guess is that he plans for this thing to continue to run its course, and then... I dunno what else, to be honest. Maybe something else with the dead too, considering they're still lingering around in the first place.
It'll probably be easier to figure things out once we, of course, uncover more things, but. That's about what I think so far.

That is sound logic, though. They may very well have something that they intend to do with the dead... Hilda was even aware of their existence.

And then the rest. Yuri sure agrees with all of that, but hey, around this time he actually does decide to grab himself a drink. He finally feels like drinking something. ]
We're also going to need to be sure to find a way to try to ensure that this doesn't happen again. It might sound like kind of a tall order, but if any of these people still have the chance to do this whole thing all over again, then...well, I don't think I need to really spell it all out here.

[He had spoken to Sayaka about never ending up in another of these again, and...if they can make certain of it, the better.]
We are still living in a time of uncertainty, and there are obvious hurdles to overcome. Whether we like it or not, Hilda and Jericho have powers and we do not. Facing them head-on will be quite the task. But there has to be something that can be done regardless.
[...he smiles a little bit.]
How else are we all going to give Jericho what he deserves?
[And also beating anyone behind him and Hilda, but beating up Jericho seems to be priority #1 right now.]

Yeah, that's right - and I know we'll be able to manage that something. We haven't come this far to end up continuing to be just strung along by them as we have before. Not anymore.
[ He'll be looking ahead for a moment before turning to face Rideaux, and then he'll raise the glass he's just grabbed with a smirk. Speaking of that #1 prioritiy. ]

About how great it is we came out of this trial alive and it was too bad I didn't get to punch anyone in the face for what happened.
[ ... Sort of. Yuri's still not great about talking about when things affected him, but he's not like, let's say, as furious as he was earlier. That said, he seriously considers it, but. ]
I dunno yet, I guess it's hard to say. Maybe it's because of a lot just happening.

[Yeah, it's...probably good to talk about that part of it all as well. He can't forget the victims involved as well.]
I understand that. In the heat of the moment it was difficult to feel anything but shock, and the adrenaline of our own lives being in danger. However... [He squeezes his glass a little. The image of having to examine Sayaka and Alex's bodies returns for a brief moment-] I am furious about it as well.
But you know... I certainly don't think Sayaka or Alex will take what happened lying down, once Kyrie joins them.

[Like Yuri said, punching someone rather than a barricade or punching bag would be a lot nicer.
But he does smirk right back at Yuri for bringing up the image of Sayaka actually punching Kyrie. He doesn't know about the lessons, but bless Yuri in spirit.]

[ For obvious reasons, given his own words regarding that -- and well, he did eventually take up Rin's offer for a fight. So. ]
She did, huh? I kinda helped her with knowing how to punch things, but I don't think I gave her many pointers on how to kick, so maybe someone else helped her with that.
[ Yuri considered she might have also saw him pull off a kick and was able to replicate something similar or even just was good at that on her own. ]
