how am i going to be an optimist about this?
[Almost as soon as the trial lets out, Tarrlok kind of... tears off to the kitchen, because he's mildly concerned that he's going to experience an adrenaline crash before he even starts cooking, and so he begins! He starts on some tea, marinating some beef for kebabs... but he feels like he's forgetting something...
...
OH SHIT. HE FORGOT TO PUT NOTES OUT OKAY FUCK HANG ON LET HIM REHASH SOMETHING HE THOUGHT WAS FUNNY AND SHOVE IT UNDER PEOPLE'S DOORS BEFORE ANYTHING BURNS]
FOOD IN EAT PLACE
[okay whew he makes it back to the kitchen. And so does Yuri at some point, actually! So... Tarrlok will be getting kebabs ready for everyone, since he was hungry for them, Yuri confirmed, and Cabanela said he'd have whatever he'd have. Speaking of, Cabanela shows up to make some chicken soup! And Yuri makes curry, teriyaki chicken, and steamed vegetables. So there's a little something for everyone. The food that gets put out isn't super fancy, but it's nice, and there's tea just like Elda wanted.
So have at, then!]

[ she flicks at the letter, all but glaring at it. ]

[ Yuri will just go ahead and lean against the piano. It's big enough anyway not to shift suddenly underneath his weight. ]
no subject
[ She asks, idly, starting to play some new tune ]
no subject
[ That probably might have spelled out how Yuri thought things might've happened for him but he's going to assume everyone else did too! Maybe? Probably. ]
no subject
[ She narrows her eyes, looking at the keys hard as she continues to play. ]
no subject
You don't?

[ ... There really is no way around it.
But now that Yuri has come this far... ]
Well, there's no reason to bother with them anymore, so I guess I'll be tossing them into the incinerator or making a bonfire in the middle of the foyer later tonight.
no subject
As shall I.
[ she hasn't made many of them ... but she did this week. ]
no subject
[ ... ]
Not surprised, actually. I think most of us have, especially after we came to know other people pretty well. Just in case, it'd be considered a final 'goodbye' we wouldn't have had the chance to say if something had happened to us.
But we both know that's no longer an option now. It's just a matter of how soon we're going to be able to turn the tables on the bastard.
[ Because he expects to be 'soon', but the when is still up there. ]

Only one, too. Perhaps the fact that Susan made them got to my head, or perhaps I didn't know where my priorities would be by the week's end or something.
no subject
[ It sounds rather nice...albeit melancholy. ]
Are you saying you weren't sure if you were going to act or not?
no subject
[ she tries to keep her cool enough to keep playing, but she ends up tapping with her nails more and more; fortunate then that the piano is indestructible ]
And I've lost them both.

[ Yuri knows that the bond with her is different with those who passed than his, but it's been obvious to everyone how great the pain she felt was. Sayaka had referred to Elda as her mother, and that was something he wouldn't forget. He watched the agitation seep in through her mannerisms and ... well. ]
You did pretty well against her, even against all that crap that had happened, by the way. I have n't seen many people manage to get it together after losing someone, even for a little bit, to manage something like that.
no subject
I just did what I had to do, at the end there.
no subject
Well, I'm glad you did do what you had to do. [ He almost says something else here, different from the rest of what he is going to say, but he thinks better of it. ] I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so.

If I'm to not be a liar, we will need to mobilize quickly next week. The timer does still hold over all of our heads.
no subject
[ ...Well... ]
Seeing as we have meetings on Tuesday that's probably a good idea to come together as always to see if we've figured anything out new, and well, our plans to keep anyone really from killing. Just in case.
[ He heard Elda spout out some things during the whole ... Kyrie dilemma but there probably needs to be something more concrete to be done with that. ]
no subject
[ :T ]
I'll make sure we get out okay.
no subject
[ Hm... ]
You will, huh? Then I guess I have nothing to fear.
[ He'll smile slightly there, hah. ]
no subject
[ She stops playing though to briefly say: ]
Don't patronize me, yes.
no subject
[ So, for what it's worth, he is serious about that. ]
I think we can just leave it all to Tuesday, then. If we need to meet up again or something, I'm sure that's what can happen later on depending on how things go.
[ So, like, he supposes for the most part they are playing it by ear, which is how Yuri likes it anyway. He is not really the most organized person. ]
no subject
[ She frowns and then goes back to playing the piano. She... hmm, what now. Maybe just something aimless, while she looks at Sayaka's closed note. ]
no subject
When have you known me to do nothing but sit around and twiddle my thumbs?
[ Yuri almost smiles at that, but not quite. Been a long day. ]
