Week 10.

WEEK 10

For the first time since this all started, no one has died. A solid week has passed without your numbers dropping any and while it might not seem like much, it is a victory. Maybe you really are capable of getting through this without any more deaths. Maybe this past week has reinvigorated you.

Maybe there's something you can do.

Come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you won't be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've run out of memories to regain. You should be all caught up now.

As before, there isn't a new floor at the start of the week; however, you do have what you found on Friday to keep you occupied. The windows outside will never show you daylight; the night seems steady and unending, never ticking over to daylight, and there's a good amount of snowfall that seems to be happening outside. But the indoors is warm, at least.

Maybe something will change, if you keep your morale high enough.

bloodisthicker: could have bloodbended you all but i didn't (god i'm such a great guy)

Oh, well, not at my home in Republic City, though I suppose it looked a bit like this the last time I was there.

[all of his plants are probably dead, and that's kind of a bummer.]

I'm talking about my home when I was a child, actually.

Oh, huh.

[ Once you leaf a plant alone for so long, it is bound to wither. ]

So, your original home had buildings like this too?
bloodisthicker: could have bloodbended you all but i didn't (god i'm such a great guy)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-17 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, there weren't any buildings like this, I suppose. That's probably the main difference.

[ ... ]

Oh, so you mean with all the snow and stuff?

[ Yuri turns his gaze towards the scenery again before plopping his bum down on a sofa. ]

bloodisthicker: oh wait it's not an edgeworth joke (give 'em the ol' razzle dazzle)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-20 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, yes, that's what I mean. All the snow and the night and whatnot. The only thing it's really missing is an aurora or two.
hesperos: (81)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-21 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
Huh.

[ So given where he normally lives, he doesn't see things like that... ]

What's an aurora look like, anyway?
bloodisthicker: oh wait it's not an edgeworth joke (give 'em the ol' razzle dazzle)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-23 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, well, it's probably the best light show you'll ever see. They're basically these bands of light that ripple across the sky that are usually green or purple.
hesperos: (o9)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-23 05:11 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds actually pretty cool.

... Is it because of some magic thing that this happens at all?
bloodisthicker: oh wait it's not an edgeworth joke (give 'em the ol' razzle dazzle)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-24 03:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Basically, yes. Spiritual activity is strongest near the north and south poles of my world, so it contributes to the light show. There may be some other factors we don't entirely understand, but that's the bulk of it.

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-24 08:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't know if we have anything like that in my world, but I haven't seen anything like it so probably not -- or it happens where I'm not going to be looking out for it.

I guess one of the 'random things' that happen magical wise would be the stuff with aer krenes.
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-25 08:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I guess that boils down to it being spirits, I suppose. Though, have you ever been that far north?

Anyhow, I guess I've got to ask you what that is, huh?
hesperos: (102)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-28 05:02 am (UTC)(link)
Only a few times but it was so damn cold I wasn't paying too much to what was going on in the sky. It was usually too much snow blowing around to see much of anything, anyway.

[ ... ]

Aer krenes are just like springs of aer, where aer comes out in large amounts. Aer's just stuff that exists in our world and used commonly to help with casting magic and all of that ... usually through blastia.
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-11-29 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I don't really blame you for that, all things considered. Blizzards were never my favorite thing, and that's part of the reason.

...and ah, that makes sense. It's... some kind of spiritual energy, then?
hesperos: (69)

[personal profile] hesperos 2017-11-30 05:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, those suck.

[ Blizzards, that is. ]

Guess you can call it something like that. It's practically everywhere, so might as well have some spiritual thing going on too.

[ He shrugs -- he's pretty open to these type of things, but he hasn't like...thought about it alot. ]
bloodisthicker: yeah but what are we going to do with all that melon juice? (pinky are you thinking what i'm thinking)

[personal profile] bloodisthicker 2017-12-01 04:10 am (UTC)(link)
Possibly. I can't really say I know much about that sort of thing either way, so.
