WEEK 5
Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now.

It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going.

Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost...

What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well.

Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you.

Or another weapon~. Knives are my favorite, but weighted chains aren't bad either.

But...I don't really wanna carve a weapon, I just wanted a decoration.

If you're going to do it, get on with it, start with a base first and work out from there.

[ So is she going to let him show her by guiding because he's willing to do just that? If he does, his touch is actually surprisingly kinda gentle? It's not the first time he's taught someone to do things, and it shows. ]

[ O-oh, this is. Definitely surprising, not at all what she'd imagine from Terumi? She tenses a little, but she'll let him, studying the movement and the way the knife feels in her hand. ]

[ He's silent while he goes through several motions with her; it's more of a force of habit that he's doing this than anything else, but the point is that it's still happening. And then when he lets go, he smirks like he usually does, looking at her expectantly. ]

Don't fuck up— it's all about how much force you put into it and the angle.

[ She almost doesn't realize his hand has left hers, but the instruction clues her in. She almost jumps a little, almost slices too much, but it feels like there's such a...such a great weight in his expectations, so she keeps her head steady. ]

Right. Okay, gently...

[ Gently, and carefully. ...It's not something she'd expect to learn from Terumi, but she seems to be doing an okay job. ]

Good enough. The rest of it's basically the same thing, just more attention to detail and all that crap.

[ That's basically praise. ]

...I'm kind of afraid to get into the small details, like...what if I mess it up? I'll have to start all over again, won't I?

Practice makes perfect, huh? But then again we both hate repetition.

[ He smiles, but it's more subtle than his usual one. ]

Depends how bad you screw up, you might not have to.

Alright... Well, then, time to make horse attempt numero uno...and hopefully the only one. ...If I screw it up super-bad, uh... maybe it can be a seahorse. Yeah, I'll start on the back.

...It's like... Okay, so there's a lot I still don't know about it. But...during World War II, this submarine, the Kanaloa, got destroyed by friendly fire right off the coast of this island. And, well...there was something radioactive in the sub's belly, and it kind of...created this pocket dimension where the island is.

The crew became these...these ghosts, slightly out of time, and I...accidentally contacted them when I was visiting the island once. It...pulled me and my friends who were with me in.

[ Hmm.... ]

And after that? Is that where you were before here? Trapped in that pocket dimension?

[ She nods. ]

Just me and...the people who were on that ship. I got my friends out, but...it seems I'm...kind of stuck there, in this never-ending loop.

[ For a few seconds he's quiet, not even bothering to reach into his pocket for the knife he always carries. ]

Ah, it's such a pain isn't it? Repeating things over and over, and over and over, and over. Almost makes this whole shitshow a vacation, huh?
