WEEK 5.
Tabitha Smith, Sigrun Eide, and Solf J Kimblee are all dead. Regardless of what you think of the trial or the events leading up to it, there's no denying that you can feel the dent in your numbers now. After all, ten people are gone now. It may be hard, but all you can do is keep going. Saturday is given to regrouping and sleep; come Sunday morning, the clock chimes the hour at seven o'clock and there are no dead bodies to be found, so it can be assumed that all of you are safe for the time being. That said, you'll be feeling a little groggy when you wake up; it seems you've regained something that you didn't realize you'd lost... What with Jericho's excitement at the last trial, it's evident now more than ever that the new floor that's opened up to you is a gift, a reward for a job well-done. Because while surviving is something that you'll continue to try to do of your own merit...well. Let's say that he's so, so very proud of you. PARTICIPANTS REMAINING: 23 |

[ Like, just saying? She shakes her head and sighs. ] If I had some bats I'd feel a lot more secure here, keep watch over everything.

That wouldn't be a bad idea at all. Although I doubt this building has many ways in and out that they could find.

[ Mmm... ]
... You're so humble all the time, sheesh.

[As for herself...]
I am but a creation... a piece of the original Maxwell. To think that I obtained this title on my own isn't realistic. There was a time I thought I could accomplish whatever I set my sights on. But that kind of thinking will get you killed. Yes, even someone like me.

She hops into a seat here, and then sits there crossing her legs, motioning Milla to sit too. ]
Okay girl, you're starting from the beginning here. You're a god and weren't a god and now you're a fragment of a god, and I might as well get my story straight for if we ever need to autopsy you.

[As she speaks, she moves to sit with Elda. And so she begins to recount her history, trying to keep it simple. It is a long story after all.]
I was raised in the Village of Nia Khera. Not by humans, but by the Four Great Spirits. Maxwell created me, but he did so with the idea that I would believe that I was indeed the Maxwell and would become bait for those who wished him harm. And I... I was ignorant of his existence, much less his true intentions.
Even so, it was only a matter of time before I realized the truth. Well, 19 years in reality. However... instead of being destroyed like he may have wished, I challenged his ideals and defeated-- no. Killed him. As such I have been the Lord of Spirits only slightly more than two years now.
In reality I am only a fragment of Maxwell's power. But I have gained my own power as well.

[ In which case she's claiming that she killed a god which is... holy shit? Even if she is some sort of fragment god, that's amazing? ]

There are three Primordial Spirits. Gods, as you might say. Maxwell, Chronos and Origin.
Origin is perhaps the closest to what humans would consider a god. Land, space... the void is his domain. Chronos is the guardian of time. And Maxwell is the guardian of the Spirit Realm.
All three of them are as old as the world itself and are equal, yet have their own specific place in the world.

[ Or... whatever void is. ]

[ THAT SEEMS DIFFERENT THAN GHOSTS??? ]

[It's similar enough.]

And even then not all humans are capable of forming contracts with spirits. It requires a human with a mana lobe. [She points to her head, indicating where such a thing would be located.] By offering the spirits mana an exchange is made. The spirit receives mana and the human receives the spirit's power.
Humans who cannot have created devices known as Spyrix to help them harness that power. However, they were doing so at the cost of the spirit's lives.
Right now they are attempting to build a safe method to do that, which won't endanger the spirits.
no subject
Huh. ]
So really, you're much more a god for all these spirit folks than for the humans out there, if I'm understanding all this right.

[Not that she doesn't thoroughly enjoy her time with them.]
